It takes a tree to produce a book. If we
are going to use a tree to produce a book, the
book must be of at least as much value to the
human race as the tree was when it stood in
place. In other words, we don't believe in
publishing for the sake of publishing. Lasting
impact in readers' lives is our goal. (Editor's
